3º ENCONTRO ERASMUS+

Aver-o-Mar em Itália!

Os professores envolvidos no projeto Erasmus+ i.d.e.a. -Together We Can, estiveram presentes em Montorio Romano, Itália,entre os dias 27 e 31 de maio, no 3º Short-Term Join Staff Training and Learning Event do projeto.

Foram experienciados momentos de grande partilha e de conhecimento concreto através da  apresentação do suporte legal das políticas  educativas que sustentam a inclusão na escola italiana. Houve oportunidade de presenciar a organização do sistema de ensino, as dinâmicas estabelecidas em sala de aula e o envolvimento da comunidade educativa nos projetos da escola. Foi possível partilhar, refletir e aprender durante as várias intervenções, apresentações e momentos de trabalho que foram realizados ao longo da semana. 

Das várias experiências destaca -se a sessão “Meeting the emotions - The inclusive education in Italy and the psychological variables in the good practices”, por Maria Teodolinda Saturno, professora universitária em Roma e especialista em educação inclusiva de crianças surdas e com dificuldades de aprendizagem; a visita ao Instituto e à Escola Estatal de Roma para Surdos, com explicação detalhada das suas práticas de inclusão e inovação pedagógica na área - uma escola inclusiva que “convida” os alunos regulares a estudarem com alunos com deficiência auditiva; a grande envolvência de toda uma comunidade educativa, num projeto comum e único de construir uma escola aberta a todos e para todos, e que não se limita ao ensino básico e secundário.
Oportunidade para conhecer ainda boas práticas de inclusão no ensino superior, conforme referiu a Reitora da Universidade de Roma 3 presente nesta sessão.

A zona de periferia rural, onde se situa o Agrupamento de Escolas de Montorio Romano, a distância relativa a que cada uma das quatros escolas se encontrava e as limitações que daí advêm,  não impediram a visibilidade de um projeto comum, com um trabalho programado no sentido de serem criadas as mesmas oportunidades para todos os alunos, onde os «casos» se diluíram e deixaram de ser focos de atenção.

Mas na Itália, tal como no nosso País, tudo se  foi construindo e adaptando às necessidades e à realidade do século XXI. Em comparação com o nosso sistema educativo de inclusão, foi possível encontrar  semelhanças tanto legislativas como nas  práticas quotidianas de intervenção em sala de aula.

As escolas italianas têm todos os alunos na turmas  apostando na inclusão, mesmo para os casos das deficiências específicas. Foi possível observar, numa visita ao Instituto e à Escola Pública só para Surdos, em Roma, um exemplo onde foi necessário trabalhar no sentido das reformas para a verdadeira inclusão. Sendo uma escola só para surdos, criaram-se  turmas mistas com alunos ouvintes e surdos onde  todos comunicam com recurso à linguagem gestual e as aprendizagens são desenvolvidas em moldes muito semelhantes!

Mais uma vez, valeu a experiência, as vivências e  os testemunhos que ajudam na construção do caminho da escola inclusiva onde todos terão as mesmas oportunidades!

The teachers involved in the Erasmus + i.d.e.a. -Together We Can 3rd Short-Term Join Staff Training and Learning Event of the project state their comments upon this extraordinary meeting.

We have experienced moments of great sharing and concrete knowledge, either by the presentation of the legal educational policies that support inclusion in the Italian school system, or by witnessing the dynamics established in the classrooms and the involvement of the educational community in the school projects. It was possible to share, reflect and learn during the various interventions, presentations and work moments that were held during the week.

Of the various experiences,  the Portuguese team highlights the session "Meeting the emotions - The inclusive education in Italy and the psychological variables in the good practices" by Maria Teodolinda Saturno, university professor in Rome and specialist in inclusive education of deaf and learning disabled children ; the visit to the Institute and Rome State School for Deaf, the detailed explanation of their inclusion practices and pedagogical innovation in the area - an inclusive school that "invites" regular students to study with deaf students; the great involvement of an entire educational community, in a common and unique project to build a school open to all and for all.

Moreover, an opportunity to know practices of inclusion in higher education, as mentioned by the Rector of the University of Rome 3 present in this session.

The rural periphery, where the School Grouping of Montorio Romano is situated, the relative distance between each of the four schools, did not prevent the visibility of a common project intended to give the same opportunities to all pupils.

But in Italy, as in our country, everything has been built and adapted, for many years and policies, to the needs and reality of the 21st century. Compared with our inclusive educational system, it was possible to find similarities both in legislative and in the daily practices of intervention in the classroom.

Italian schools have all students in the class, betting on inclusion, even for specific disability cases. It was possible to observe, on a visit to the Public School for Deaf in Rome, an example where it was necessary to work through the reforms for true inclusion. Being a deaf school, mixed classes have been created with hearing and deaf students where everyone communicates with sign language and the learning is developed in very similar ways!

Once again, it was rewarding to observe good examples of inclusiveness in schools and job related areas.

Furthermore, the Portuguese team wishes to highlight the professionalism, sympathy and restlessness of the Italian staff: their ability to smile and spread gaiety and warmth.
